I had in issue with Babel in this step on the pull request. I found a solution here
facebook/create-react-app#6099
I deleted the node_modules folder then reinstalled it with yarn but this did not work so I deleted the node_modules again and reinstalled it with npm. This worked after I deleted the package-lock.json file.
