Scrcpy is an open-source application that allows users to display and control their Android devices from their computer using a USB connection or over Wi-Fi. Scrcpy GitHub repository is a well-maintained and popular open-source project, with over 27,000 stars and 2,600 forks. The project has an active community of contributors, with 85 contributors who have contributed to the project.
I have picked scrcpy GitHub repository since I use it a lot in my work when I need to show and control my Android device on my computer. The project has a relatively small number of commits and releases compared to other large projects, but this is not unexpected given the scope of the project. The application is lightweight and focused on a specific task, so there may be fewer updates and changes than other, more complex projects.
- It has now 1225 open and 2162 closing issues. Comparing the other projects, the ratio between closing and opening issues is high. I think its issue-tracking system is not good enough, or they may need more contributors.
- Although it has fewer issues compared to the larger projects, they have 95 labels which are as many as larger projects have.
- It has comprehensive ReadMe; therefore, its wiki contained nothing except the translation of its ReadMe file. They could use wiki more efficiently.
