To start a new session at any time, click the gear icon `⚙️` in the top-right corner of the application and select **New session** from the dropdown menu.

To start a new session in a different directory, click the current directory displayed at the top of the application, or click the gear icon `⚙️` in the top-right corner of the application and select **Open directory** from the dropdown menu. You can select an existing folder or create a new folder.

On macOS, you can drag and drop a folder onto the Goose icon in the dock to open a new session in that directory.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to start a new session or bring focus to open Goose windows.
