Summary

  • Require authenticated Blossom/BUD-01 t=get tokens for GET and HEAD /media/* when BUZZ_REQUIRE_MEDIA_GET_AUTH is enabled (BUZZ_REQUIRE_MEDIA_READ_AUTH alias accepted for rollout wording).
  • Enforce relay membership after token verification and before sidecar/blob access; switch auth-gated blob responses to private immutable cache control.
  • Attach authenticated media-read headers across desktop proxy/download/import paths, mobile image/video/avatar/custom emoji fetches, dev MCP view_image, and CLI buzz media get.
  • Harden CLI/dev MCP against cross-origin auth leakage by refusing/avoiding redirects when auth headers are attached, and only sign relay-host /media/ URLs.

Red-team checks covered in code/tests/review

  • Unauthenticated GET/HEAD denied before sidecar/blob lookup when flag is on.
  • Upload-shaped token rejection.
  • Wrong server tag rejection.
  • Wrong x tag rejection.
  • Relay-host-only client signing.
  • CLI/dev MCP no-redirect behavior for signed requests.
  • Server-scoped t=get tokens are intentional and still membership-gated.

Follow-up

  • Composed e2e still needs to run against a flag-on relay: desktop proxy + view_image with BUZZ_REQUIRE_MEDIA_READ_AUTH=true.

Add the relay-side Blossom BUD-01 `t=get` verifier for `GET` and `HEAD /media/*`, gated by `BUZZ_REQUIRE_MEDIA_GET_AUTH` with `BUZZ_REQUIRE_MEDIA_READ_AUTH` accepted as a rollout alias. Flag-on reads now require a valid kind-24242 get token scoped by matching `x` or `server` tag, then enforce relay membership before touching sidecars or blobs. Auth-gated blob responses use private immutable cache-control.

Add authenticated read clients across Buzz surfaces:
- desktop proxy, `buzz-media://`, and desktop download/import paths mint server-scoped get tokens;
- mobile media image/video/avatar/custom-emoji fetches attach per-request headers for relay `/media/` URLs only;
- dev MCP `view_image` signs only relay-host `/media/` URLs and disables redirects when auth is attached;
- CLI adds `buzz media get` for authenticated media download and refuses non-relay origins.

Validation notes:
- media verifier rejects unauthenticated GET/HEAD before sidecar lookup when the flag is on;
- upload-shaped tokens, wrong server tags, and wrong `x` scopes do not pass;
- redirect auth leakage is blocked for CLI and dev MCP by no-redirect clients;
- server-scoped get tokens are intentional and still membership-gated.
