Hi, Thanks for your suggestion to change our complete brand color (which is by the way Light Green 50 / 500) because it doesn't match your taste ;) To… blue? Or pink? |

I use Android 8 and there is a system option to hide app icons from the home screen.
In Android 8 you can also hide app icons from the app drawer. When I read that you are using Android 12, I think I should never upgrade. I just looked into the app drawer and there are many apps with strange colors, like Firefox, Skype or Zoom. |

#460 (comment) would remediate this. It necessitates that colouration solely applies to accent colours, and that these accents are user-defined. |

(Obligatory in my opinion,) DAVx5's branding colour is very off-putting when compared to most Android apps. I think a better colour than lime green could've chosen.
Additionally, the app contains no option to hide it from the home screen, as some keyboard apps do, and as an app that should fade into the background should have.
I use DAVx5 to sync my contacts, calendars, and tasks from my Nextcloud server. I would prefer if Android supported this natively, or if the Nextcloud app did itself, as I don't like having to use a third-party app to sync between them.
But this in and of itself wouldn't be an issue if the app was just in the background, doing its job. However, since you can't hide it, I'm faced with that lime green icon every time I open my app drawer.
This is a picky complaint, I know, and I'm sure my visual tastes aren't the same as everyone else's, but I really think you could do better than lime green. In my case at least, it's distracting, and frankly ugly.
Just to clarify, I'm in no way critiquing the app. It serves a very important role, where neither Android nor Nextcloud nor others have created an app for this purpose. I like it. It does its job. And it works. My own critique is relating to the branding.
