This repository contains R code that summarizes the status of grizzly bears in British Columbia. It supports the 'Grizzly Bear Conservation Ranking in B.C.' indicator published on Environmental Reporting BC Nov, 2020.
This indicator uses data sourced from the B.C. Data Catalogue distributed under the Open Government Licence - British Columbia.
- Grizzly Bear Population Units
- BC Grizzly Bear Conservation Ranking Results
- BC Grizzly Bear Population Estimates
- Grizzly Bear Historic Mortality
There are four core scripts that are required for the analysis, they need to be run in order:
- 01_load.R
- 02_clean.R
- 03_visualizion.R
- 04_outputs.R
Most packages used in the analysis can be installed from CRAN using install.packages()
, but you will need to install envreportutils
and bcdata
using remotes:
install.packages("remotes") # if you don't already have it installed
library(remotes)
install_github("bcgov/envreportutils")
install_github("bcgov/bcdata")
