Use both SDR and HDR LUT tables #1050
-
Hi, first of all, awesome work @awawa-dev! I have the ms2130 (model B) and flashed it with the HyperHDR F3 firmware and noticed, when the screen is black, the LEDs stay on. I read that this is an issue with the new firmware. I have calibrated the LUT tables using the new auto calibration in v21.0.0.0 beta 1 using the SDR sample video. When I now switch to HDR in the remote tab, playing SDR content, blacks are actually black, so LEDs remain off, and I like the colors better than with HDR switched off (they look more accurate). However, when I calibrate for HDR using the HDR test video, it overrides the calibration for SDR - they both write to lut_lin_tables.3d. Is it possible to use one table for SDR, and another for HDR? I could of course write a script that replaces the file and restarts hyperHDR, but this would be very hacky 😛 Thanks! |

Hi
Disable minimal backlight in the processing tab (set it to 0) SDR on ms2130 (with F3 firmware does not need to be calibrated). LUTs can be switched using API like webOS backend does. |
