Accelerate software defined vehicle trend by adopting and extending cloud native technology whilst creating a one stop shop of secure autonomous drive modules that can be used across commercial, ecosystem and research applications.
Deliver a cloud-native workflow which provides containerised components for autonomous solutions utilising modern software defined methodologies and automotive safety grade hardware reference which could be applied to different types of vehicles and use-cases. Open AD Kit will provide a reference starter kit to enable the ecosystem to bootstrap adoption of cloud native paradigms for developing secure, safe, composable and updateable automotive applications in the cloud which are then deployable to the automotive edge
- Deliver a field deployable reference autonomous vehicle kit for cloud native development comprising of hardware, system software, communication middleware, Autoware and cloud connectivity
- Define and build reference cloud based devops workflows for delivering containerised workloads suitable for use in an autonomous solution
- Seed the ecosystem with a functional solution based on a containerised Autoware to enable ecosystem driven path from development to deployment
- Create a storefront and container registry for hosting the project
- Enable infrastructure for commercial and non-commercial service deployment to provide GTM opportunities for AWF members.
- Enable end to end secure delivery and attestation of containers.
- Containerise Autoware by migrating from monolithic container to microservices based solution
- Integrate against cloud infrastructure for testing components in isolation or as a functional solution
- Document the interfaces between containerized components (enables functional replacement)
- ISO certification of Autoware components
- Documentation of internal API's for Autoware components
