The evidence document SHOULD start with the end entity VMC certificate, followed by the immediate issuer CA certificate of the end entity, and then its issuing CA certificates. Potentially this issuing sequence of certificate terminates at the self-signed trusted root certificate, where the trusted root certificate MAY optionally be included in the evidence document.
