@jojochuang Please don't file new Jira issue for reverting commits, simply revert them (with or without PR), and update fix version on the existing ticket.

Thanks @adoroszlai it wasn't supposed to be a revert, but turns out a revert is cleaner.

I'll go ahead and revert HDDS-13594 directly now that the CI is green.
