@leoluan2009, we shouldn't change this until we also start testing with higher versions of Java. That's what #577 is adding, but tests currently fail because of transitive Spark 2.4.4 dependencies. I think this is blocked until that issue is resolved. Is it okay if I close this in favor of working on it under #577? |

Now iceberg only allow to build with Java 8, this PR allow iceberg to build with Java 8 or above version.
