The mcp registry tool is an experimental tool that (when enabled) hides mcp tool descriptions from the request to save tokens.
To use an mcp tool, the model will call the mcp registry with the tool(s) to activate, which enables them for 3 user messages (random number really)
This allows users to have plenty of mcp tools running without bloating context with their schema and descriptions - only a simple list of tool names is supplied in the registry description.
