…ousResearch#91079) Rebuild the complete Desktop package transaction as one commit on exact upstream main b40d85d. Preserve the reviewed thirteen product/test blobs from dfc870381e56092a26a4d6736893083feaf962e9. The intervening upstream merge touches only tests/test_state_db_write_durability.py and does not intersect this PR's owned paths. Close the destructive boundaries: - rollback acquisition is an explicit preserved / safe-to-clean / blocked contract; - the generation marker is written before a valid current package is moved; - marker, backup-slot, cleanup, and package-rename failure leave the current app at its live path and stop packaging; - failed or structurally invalid output is quarantined before the last-good backup is promoted; - if backup promotion fails, the failed replacement is restored to its live path and the backup remains intact; - an invalid apparent success cannot hide behind another generation's marker; - isolated get-windows recovery is proven against the committed lock closure and repository override policy before lifecycle execution; - the package wrapper uses npm's selected Node runtime with a bounded reexec. Focused failure injection covers acquisition, multi-target fencing, false-success settlement, rollback-promotion failure, runtime handoff, and the native-Windows JS-to-Python launchability boundary.
