September 22 Updates for our lovely bot

Hi everyone 👋🏻
A quick update on where we are!!

• We are SO CLOSE to being able to merge the shiny new documentation setup - complete with linting and link checking (thanks to @JimMadge ) into the main branch!! chore: add merge commit to handle merge conflicts when we merge into main #929 handles merge conflicts and a bunch of other lint/link issues that make CI happy. Once that gets merged, we can update all of the actions to run on main. go team! 🚀
• @flpm is closer to getting the translations working!! We made a few fixes to make sure we aren't using relative links for images, etc as they break things in translations. My guess is we may have more to fix, but I think it's all fixable!

The Bot and CLI repos need some love

• I spent a bit of time lurking around in the bot repository and found a few things:
  • there is an open issue about a refactor that I think @Berkmann18 mentioned in our checkin last week. I also found a few pr's and issues related to the app and the CLI being out of sync that relate to this. This seems like a good priority item for us to consider focusing on.
  • I also briefly chatted with @JoshuaKGoldberg , who is interested in joining our team and helping !! 🚀
• Question of the day: Who owns (and presumably pays for??) the Vercel account, and are there other accounts that we need to know about?

Permissions for the organization and settings in these other repos?

• I have a question for @Berkmann18 @gr2m - currently in those repos, there is a Vercel deployment that is failing, and we can't merge pr's because of that.
  • Are you are willing to grant me organization-wide permissions to adjust settings in these repositories and add maintainers, I could resolve that issue so we can merge all-contributors PRs and clean up/triage issues.
  • I'd also like to set up organization-wide discussions rather than having separate discussion spaces, as it will make it easier to coordinate across repositories
  • Finally, I'd like to fix the .github repo so we have a cleaned up and shared code of conduct, and a nice readme landing page for our org

Next steps & where we need help

• Once I can fix the settings in those repos so we can merge (some) pr's , we can begin to triage issues over there, add contributors, close issues, and come up with a plan. If anyone wants to help with triaging issues and adding contributors, please let me know. This is a super beginner-friendly task - especially adding contributors.

Small update: discussions are now global to the organization - and they are "housed" in the documentation/ website repo - all-contributors.github.io.

i also emailed Jake about transferring the domain over to us. This might take time but the good news is that our site is live now on github pages so we do have a site that works.

I'm so glad that we also have vercel expertise here!! ❤️
