According to our national law, 1 rial is equal to 100 dinar so technically rial has 2-digit precision according to the law and the Iso 4217.
But since the law is too old [written around 95 years ago] nowadays we don't use 2-digit precision. We also commonly use another non-official currency called toman with the code IRT equal to 1/10 rial. Each 10 rials is called 1 toman.
If you check our banknotes and coins here the oldest one starts from 100 rial and the biggest is 2,000,000 rial so we can't possibly use dinars.
