Add the missing SGLang disaggregated single-node Component scenario to the operator upgrade suite. Production admission and reconciliation lower frontend, prefill and decode into three DCD-owned Deployments, with complete resource goldens and independent topology/worker-edit checks.
Require edited Component workloads to belong to the requested worker hash, with exactly one workload per component. Old-generation edits cannot satisfy convergence; polling retains the concrete failure via EventuallyWithT.
Extend the existing takeover-safety regression to protect both LWS leader and worker templates.
Production behavior, existing goldens, historical inputs, provenance and RECONCILED_VERSION are unchanged. Four vLLM/TensorRT-LLM single-node entries remain missing and the complete release-matrix gate stays enforced.
Continues #17005 against main; GitHub cannot reopen that PR because its former base branch was deleted.
Validation
Dedicated CPU Kind v1.36.1: all eight Component fixture cases, the three legacy CREATE controls, single/multinode Component history barriers, and DisaggregatedSet capture/takeover passed against production admission/controllers. The new single-node golden matched without edits.
Current-main upgrade unit tests and 16 Python fixture-tooling tests passed.
Fixture version/provenance checks and applicable pre-commit hooks passed.
The release-matrix gate still rejects exactly the four remaining vLLM/TensorRT-LLM single-node Component entries.
The integration suite blocks workload actuation and checks production admission/controller resource state and upgrade intent; it does not run serving Pods or GPU inference.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Tests
Added upgrade-test coverage for a single-node SGLang disaggregated deployment.
Improved checks to verify that worker updates match the expected generation and that rollout-intent changes are detected across leader and worker templates.
Added checks for missing and duplicate matching workloads.
Documentation
Clarified that the upgrade suite covers 23 of 27 canonical scenarios, with four cases remaining.
The worker-edit check matches workloads by component and desired worker hash. Tests check that stale or duplicate workloads do not satisfy the check, and that the captured graph matches the expected workers and hash.
Adds input and expected-output fixtures for the frontend, prefill, and decode components, including workload and graph resources. The README updates the completed-entry count to 23 and the remaining-entry count to four.
The upgrade tests may miss stale DisaggregatedSet hashes or a regression affecting one existing LWS template. These bounded coverage gaps warrant follow-up but do not establish a production failure.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
#17000 requests aggregated multinode, disaggregated single-node, and disaggregated multinode SGLang Component coverage, independent graph and topology checks, worker-edit propagation, and production-generated goldens with workload actuation blocked. The reviewed head adds the missing disaggregated single-node input and complete output golden. The cluster test blocks workloads, captures reconciled DCD-owned workloads, runs matrix checks, and compares the captured graph with the golden. The worker-edit check requires the requested worker hash and one workload per component; the LWS check verifies both leader and worker templates. The existing multinode scenario checks and harness are also present at the reviewed head.

Seed both LWS templates before changing each hostname.
old.spec contains only replicas, so each LWS mutation adds leaderWorkerTemplate instead of changing an existing template. The complete-spec comparison rejects that addition, but these cases do not establish that a change to either existing template is rejected on its own. The cluster worker-edit check changes both templates together and does not isolate them.

In the test setup that builds the `old` unstructured object, seed both
`leaderTemplate` and `workerTemplate` under `leaderWorkerTemplate` when testing
`LeaderWorkerSet`, before mutating either hostname. This ensures each case
independently verifies that changing an existing template is rejected.

Original discussion: The LWS safety cases still build the baseline with only spec.replicas, so each hostname mutation adds an entire previously absent leaderWorkerTemplate; the tests therefore do not isolate changes to existing leader and worker templates as the review requested.
