WalkthroughThe planner now supports a configurable Prometheus request timeout. The value defaults to 10 seconds, loads from ChangesPrometheus request timeout

119-125: 🩺 Stability & Availability | 🔵 TrivialConfirm the timeout semantics match the control-loop requirement.
PrometheusConnectpasses this value to Requests. Requests treats it as a connection/read inactivity limit, not a total response deadline. A server or proxy that sends bytes periodically can keep the synchronouscustom_query()call running beyond the configured seconds. If the requirement is a hard wall-clock bound, add an explicit deadline or document the weaker semantics. (prometheus-api-client-python.readthedocs.io)🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Addressed the additional review feedback in ea54566: clarified that the Requests timeout is a connection/read inactivity timeout rather than a total wall-clock deadline, and converted the Prometheus provider test to use patch as a context manager. I also added environment-derived default validation and isolated the default-value test. |

CI failure is unrelated to this PR's code. The only underlying failure is |
The planner's Kubernetes calls (DGD get/list/patch, DGDSA scale get/patch, pod list, worker-metadata list) pass no _request_timeout, so kubernetes-client hands urllib3 timeout=None. Most of them run directly on the asyncio loop, so an apiserver connection that is accepted but never answered blocks the whole planner, including its control API, indefinitely. ai-dynamo#13245 fixed the same failure for Prometheus. Pass a (connect, read) timeout of (5, 30) seconds on every call. The client only honors an int or a 2-tuple; a float is silently ignored, so the test also pins the tuple shape. A request that never gets an answer now raises instead of blocking forever: a GET after 120s, because urllib3 retries reads three times, and a PATCH after 30s with a raw ReadTimeoutError, because urllib3 does not retry writes. The retry policy itself is left unchanged. Signed-off-by: Akira Lonske <akiralonske@gmail.com>
