I am nont sure about this as on ALP images I install I have separate /var

Yes, I have a separate /var too. And that entry ensures you have such a subvolume (with CoW disabled). Or did I miss something?

Problem
At this point, D-Installer only offers Tumbleweed, Leap Micro and openSUSE Leap. However, ALP is missing.
Solution
Add ALP as a product you can install using D-Installer.
