Update Type Annotations

This library can benefit from updated type annotations! Specifically, the type annotations and docstrings can be updated to reference more general types like ReadableBuffer and WriteableBuffer from circuitpython_typing where possible for arguments and returns, as opposed to more specific types like bytearray.
