The following commit appears to be a work around for a bug in elfutils. We should rather contact elfutils folks, describe the issue we have and try to help them in resolving it.

Revert usage of /proc/PID/maps

Using maps breaks on backtraces with VDSO and the elfutils bug this may
have worked around has been fixed:
