The current license is lacking professionalism. This PR addresses the issue and attempt to manually rewrite the license to be more professional and formal.

The previously linked PR #242 was closed by you without clear reasoning as to why. This goes against de facto good standards in software development, or in any engineering field, or in any field. Your unwillingness to engage with the open-source community is:

  • First, a shining example on how NOT to manage an open source project. Which can be generalised to any software project. Or any project. Or anything.
  • Second, your preference to manage this project while hiding behind your thinly-veiled veil (with the most significant examples being my PR Update license to be more formal #242 getting closed without interaction, and your own @winampgit returning 404 when inspected) is detrimental to both the open-source development model and management of this open source project. Or any open source project. Or any software project. Or any project. Or anything. Two of the core values of open-source is transparency and democracy: Anyone can see/check/verify anything, and anyone can participate in any issues. By operating behind the veil, you have declared that you do not value open-source as what it is, but rather as a tool to be kept in the dark, exploited, and silenced.
  • Third, a clear indication that you simply do not understand why open-source is open-source. Open-source is labour of love. I doubt you can see the love; however, I do not doubt you can see the labour. And labour of love is just labour if you are detached and dissociated enough.

I do not speak for anyone. I speak for myself. This voice, however, is part of a crowd. Amor vivere vox populi.

@dontfwiththestream I don't think you understand the point of this PR.

@dontfwiththestream Have you read the license included in the PR?

@dontfwiththestream That's the point.
