My Wishlist For This Project (General & Technical)

• Fix the options.ini not being created bug (game breaking and game won't launch without that file exisitng)
• Upgrade to a modern API (dx9 or dx11 should be a good starting point); modern api fix alt tab crash on modern version of windows (8+)
• Upgrading to modern API (dx11) means textures can also use bc7 compression (higher quality)
• Upgrade from linear filtering to anisotropic filtering (makes the game quality alot better; ) can also be applied to the radar or minimap.
• Keep balance as it is; but fix game breaking exploits

I'll add my wish list here with the mind set of a "Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, Enhanced Edition" mind set

• game natively run in modern windows 10 & 11 systems without 3rd party fixes (without the need of GenTools or compatibility).
• HD and UHD support with different screen ratios that respect game engine renders and GUI scale ( something GenTools did too)
• Modern GUI, support for UHD scaling (something like control bar pro)
• Bug/Glitches fixes.
• Reworked or improved online matches (fix mismatches, sharing maps)

probably tougher ones

• expand settings with key binding options
• separate game speed from frame rate ( so we could run game speed 30 at 60 fps for example, and camera control don't act differently in different game speeds)
• merge generals and zero hours in a single game, with all 6 campaigns accessible from a single engine, and a flag that lock units and structures to "generals" only in skirmish and multiplayer.

other

• support for Steam's OS (or native support for Linux)
• better support for co-op scenarios

AI - non-critical

• AI have better late game (currently AI tend to do nothing after their initial supplies die)
• more difficulty sittings and/or personalities similar to the newer C&C titles
• if the engine can support it with better memory and graphic access then 10~12 players up from 8

beyond extra

• would be cool if there is some kind of in game mod manager that can download different modders/communities patches and players can sync them in game lobbies (something similar to the game Factorio when trying to join online modder game) this might require exterior infrastructure, or steam workshop support.
