I installed the pluging on SFOS as per the wiki.
I do have a 'Telegram' option in the 'Accounts' section of the 'Settings' menu but after entering my number (already in use with Telegram), I am prompted to enter a code I should receive via SMS. This SMS however, does not arrive. Is this a known issue? Is SFOS not supported anymore? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello! Not sure about the exact issue, unfortunately, but here are the issues that could be related:

Thank you for the reply.
I can login using the same device and phone number using the Fernschreiber app. So I doubt my account is banned.
Also, I am not using the Desktop version but the SailfishOS integration described in the Wiki article I linked.
Is there a workaround like manually editing a file over SSH to set a session token or the like?
Has anyone else managed to connect to Telegram using the SFOS integration on a recent Sailfish version?

The same issues are relatively recent and are general for the telegram clients and libraries (not limited by the desktop client or the mentioned python library). See also: Fernschreiber user recent ban report, so be careful anyway (as described via the mentioned projects' links).

Not sure how to set up the session-related data manually, sorry (some entry point is here: wiki/Troubleshooting#where-telepathy-morse-stores-the-account-data, the rest could probably be found via the telegram-qt project sources).

Do you have Android/iOS open sessions for your account (maybe the codes could be received there)?

Sorry, I don't have the recent Sailfish OS version with the project integration installed, so can't help with some success story example, unfortunately.

I never touched either an Android nor an iOS device. I'd rather stop using Telegram. Just wanted to rule out I am doing something wrong here. So I guess I'll consider this broken but wontfix (or rather can't?) and move on with my life. 😉
I'll leave this open for others and I am willing to try whatever suggestion people come up with but I won't actively work on this and wouldn't mind if you decide to close this issue.
Thank you for you support!
