Every backplane is comes with a \qty{2}{\m} power supply cable as shown in figure \ref{fig:power_cable}. The cable has a green Phoenix Contact \texttt{\small{MSTB 2,5 HC/ 3-ST-5,08}} connector on one end and five \qty{4}{\mm} connectors on the other end. These connectors can be used to connect the backplane to a standard two channel DC power supply. To simplify the connection, the common connector is spliced so that two channels of the power supply can be easily chained together to create the dual positive/negative supply required for the backplane.
