Excited to see how it turns out! Will DiscordKit stay supported and remain functional during this transition? I just found the repo and am excited to convert my discord bot to Swift from Python! |

Awesome! 2nd gen is always the best. Is there a vague ETA? No rush of course, I'm just excited. |

Is this new version of Swiftcode open-source? |

Yo, is this going to be paid? Can I pre-pay? Can it please be one-time rather than subscription? (Maybe take 10% of every Nitro bought through the app, that'd be fine.) Just take my money, please. |

Will the client support Replugged/Better Discord plugins? |

I don't see how it could considering this would be a swift application, you can't just apply Javascript files meant for a web base client.

It could have it's own plugin system as well, or find a way to render JavaScript/html perhaps in a separate page? |

The server invite in the post (and the repo itself) is invalid, could somebody please update it? |

Would like to ask if any nightly build or early version is available for the new App, and where to find it. |

hi, and how to solve this error on Mac OS 13, not updated above. I translated the screenshot into English to make it easier for you to understand my problem. |

You guys must have been wondering, what's the future of Swiftcord now that this repository has had virtually no activity for the good part of the year? The gist of it is that I've decided that the best course of action, given the poor state of code in this repository, was to embark on a complete rewrite of Swiftcord while aiming to iron out many of the long-standing kinks with the current version.
This was a decision which took me quite a bit to make, but I believe it will bring significant gains starting with maintainable code, a more "Apple-ish" interface and more officially supported targets!
PS: Please do join the Swiftcord Discord server, its full of activity!
For posterity, following is my official announcement posted in the Discord server in full:
Swiftcord Update
Hi guys! I know there’s been many reports that the current version of Swiftcord is broken and doesn’t work even after the security warning is bypassed.
I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience it might have caused, and would like to reassure everyone that the app, as long as it has not been tampered with, is not malicious and poses no risk to your device. It’s a precautionary warning by Apple once a significant number of people download an unsigned app.
What’s next
I have been, for the past couple of months, working on a completely refreshed version of Swiftcord which shares almost no code with the existing one. I haven’t decided on a name for it yet, but it’s likely not to continue being named Swiftcord due to the implications of having “Swift” in the name for an app which I will attempt publishing to the App Store.
It has a rebuilt interface rethought from the ground up to seamlessly both visually and behaviourally gel with existing native macOS and iOS apps.
And yes, you read that right! iPadOS, and possibly iOS are now becoming first class targets! You’ll be able to use the same familiar great-looking client across all your Apple devices 🙀
