Made edits to the formatting for links, method calls, and some phrasing

Thanks for submitting the guides. I made some cosmetic updates, mostly:

• changed absolute url paths in links to relative links (we need to do this in case the scheme for the developer website ever changes)
• changed numerous method calls to put parameter/argument pairs on individual lines
• some phrasing changes
• various other formatting changes to accommodate things that change in the documentation build process when converting these notebooks into html pages for the Developer Website
