Drive Switcher

Rämixx500 has an integrated Drive Switcher. This works similarly to the Kickstart Switcher, as you will have to cut two tracks along the white marks at J90 to enable it. Then you can solder pin headers and use jumper caps (or a DPDT switch) to cross the SEL0 and SEL1 lines, which will result in the first external drive to be seen as DF0: and the actual DF0: to become invisible.
SEL0 | SEL1 | |
---|---|---|
Normal Behaviour | 0 | 1 |
External DF0: | 1 | 0 (or open) |
This is a pretty basic method of switching drives and will require a physical connection between the pins. If you want a more advanced design that can switch drives using logic levels, have a look at OpenAmigaDriveSwitcher.
