Advanced Minecraft Installation
If you already have Minecraft installed and want to keep all your settings, you may wish to install the EyeMine mod and worlds manually rather than using the supplied script install_specialeffect_mods.bat. You will also have to follow these instructions if you have installed Minecraft into a custom location.
To install EyeMine you should follow all the instructions on the Installation page, except for the section Eye Gaze mods and custom setup. Instead, do the following:
By default, Minecraft sets up a folder in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft where all your files are saved. If you've installed to a different location, you need to find it. If you've installed to the default location, it can be tricky to find it since AppData is a hidden folder. You can either type the full path into Windows Explorer, or right click on the windows icon, select "Run", type %APPDATA% and hit Enter. On Windows 7 you need to run cmd.exe, type %APPDATA% and hit Enter.
Inside the downloaded installation folder, you will find the mod at mods\EyeGaze-X.X.X.jar (where X.X.X is the current version number). Copy this file into .minecraft\mods.
EyeMine comes bundled with a couple of Minecraft worlds to get you started. If you want to try these, copy all the folders inside the downloaded installation folder EyeMine-X.X.X\saves\ into .minecraft\saves\
EyeMine is a fork of the OptiKey project, which offers computer control and speech for advanced eye gaze users.
