The dev task never finishes & AFAIK it needed a callback call

Thanks for pointing out this problem, it helps me a lot!
Although the proposed solution is not perfect, because BS initialization is asynchronous, so it requires promises.

The bug is already fixed and fix is released as v1.8.1
