Can you please add WebSocket support so we can access Spop via JavaScript? I'd love to make a JavaScript frontend for it.

That's a great idea! I'd like a web frontend too (and I already have some code for the HTTP server part in a private branch... nothing usable yet). I was thinking about a REST API (http://localhost/json/ls etc.) and long-polling for the "idle" command, but WebSockets would be even better.

Meanwhile you can probably use websockify as a proxy to connect to spop.
