App fails to install(0x80073cf6) #11
Comments
Exactly the same happens in my 640 XL LTE |
@brunomenezes66 are you on build 14393 too? If yes, it may be a build-related problem. |
What can I do? If I use 10586.107, then app is working? |
Build 14393.5 here. |
Don't really know my actual build. It's the latest one oficial(not preview). But actually after reporting my error the app showed up and it's currently working. |
@brunomenezes66 Go to Settings - About - Scroll down and tap More info button and you see. |
@MineSlash tested on 10586.494, probably there's someone on reddit who had success with a different build. I remember that MS broke Device Portal in some builds, so I'm not really sure. |
@ST-Apps Can you fix this error in Build 14393.5 or I must to downgrade my Build to 10586? |
It's 10586 |
im on lumia 640 build 14393.5 and it works properly. So definitely not a build related issue here |
Can you guys please confirm that you all have Developer mode enabled? I can't really find anything online, so it's quite hard to find a reason why this is happening. |
Of course. If we don't have enabled the Developer mode, we can't use Device Portal... |
I'm having the same issue on my 640 XL running on 14393.5 and yes, the developer mode is enabled. |
Yeah, of course, stupid question. I'll keep this open until I find more resources. If you guys are interested, you should be able to install the app using WinDeployCmd.exe but you'll need to install Windows 10 SDK on your pc. |
I'll try that, too, and let you know. :) |
I have Windows 10 SDK. Can you write the deploy commands? |
I tried with WinAppDeployCmd install -file -ip but I get some error.
|
Command is fine. Do you have the two dependencies in the same folder as the appx? |
Yes, but how can I choose this two appx as dependencies with command line? |
@MineSlash you don't have to, the tool should be looking for them itself. This is what happens to me: |
Same problem on my 735 :( I have the latest release preview build 14393.5.armfre.rs1_release_inmarket.160721-1505 |
@MineSlash please try with:
Also, if you can translate that Error: 0x80040154 line it might be helpful. |
I don't have nice english. I translated with google translate.
|
I had the same issue. Selecting the phones storage as default for new apps solved it. |
@MineSlash ok. Did you try with the command that I wrote in the previous post? @nr23730 you may have found the solution. I'm always using phone storage so I didn't consider it. |
@ST-Apps I set the storage sense from SD Card to Phone and finally worked! Thanks nr23730 ! |
Great. Could you all guys please try changing storage from SD to phone and see if it works with Device Portal so that I can add this to FAQ? |
I had that problem, I modify the app installation preference from SD card to storage and now it works. |
I changed storage preference and now it seems to work. Thank you! 👍 |
Same here, changed app storage and it worked |
Yep, installing to internal storage works. SD Card fails. |
Great, moving this to FAQ. |
Adding info, deployement worked on SD Card, only installed each dependencies first then PoGo. |
I guess I'll type this again, I HAD the app working on my Windows 10 device, I HAD it set to internal storage, I was in the process of using the app when it started to freeze on my phone and was unable to launch, and as such I decided to uninstall and reinstall it, now when I try to reinstall it, I get the Failure text: Package could not be registered. error |
I tried installing separately the two dependencies and then the game and 2016-07-31 21:05 GMT+02:00 Devster77 [email protected]:
|
Failure reason: Failed to start deployment. Failure text: Package could not be registered.
