Unity Tilemap Transparency

This Unity script allows you to set the transparency of a Tilemap. It's useful for creating effects like faded backgrounds or semi-transparent layers in 2D games.

Features

  • Easily adjust the transparency of a Tilemap via the Inspector.
  • Supports real-time updates in the Unity Editor.
  • Simple to integrate and use.

How to Use

  1. Clone or Download the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/RimuruDev/Unity-TilemapTransparency.git
  2. Add the Script to Your Project:

Copy the TilemapTransparency.cs script to your Unity project's Assets folder.

  3. Attach the Script to a Tilemap:

    • Select the GameObject with the Tilemap component.
    • Attach the TilemapTransparency script to the GameObject.
  4. Set the Transparency:

    • In the Inspector, adjust the Transparency slider to set the desired transparency level (0 = fully transparent, 1 = fully opaque).

Example Usage

This script is typically used to set the transparency of background blocks in a Tilemap, allowing for semi-transparent layers that can enhance the visual depth of your 2D game.
