Shizuku would randomly stop running on GrapheneOS (Pixel 7) despite following all directions, fresh installations, etc., until the Graphene-specific security setting "secure app spawning" was disabled. Unclear if this is necessary on all devices, but is a good thing to try for those facing trouble.
Please clarify where the option "secure app spawning" is located, like is it in "Developer options" or if GrapheneOS has some standalone settings page. |
GOS adds this setting to the main Settings > Security page. It's very obvious and presumably anyone who goes to the trouble of installing GOS knows where/what it is, or is savvy enough to do a search for it. So would an acceptable amendment be:

For the records, DivestOS (a soft fork of LimageOS with patches from GrapheneOS) also has the same option. Shizuku also stops but as I am starting it using the WiFi adb and then shut down my WiFi when moving outside, I suspect this kills the adb session used by shizuku. As I read it somewhere on the issues in that repo. |
