Welcome to the license-checker-rseidelsohn wiki!

Here, I want to provide you with some background information about this project and the plans for the future.

First, about myself:

I am a >50 years old frontend developer, who was looking for participating in an open source project, but I never found anything that I thought would fit my level of knowledge paired with the time I have at hands. Since I have a family with kids, my spare time is scarce, and when I find some free time, I have to share it between playing games, brewing beer, sleeping, doing sports and coding. This is why I currently spend only very little time on this project. For a job I once had, I needed to use a license collector, so I started using license-checker. Soon, we wanted a new feature, and so I went and created a pull request. Some time later, I figured out that this project has been totally abandoned, so I created my own fork. I soon after had to change the name, as I was not allowed to work on it during official working hours and I used the company name in that first fork. Now this is my first private open source project and I still have a hard time digging my head around all the details of the code. I heavily refactored and reformatted the code initially and see that it could use even more heavy refactoring, so it'll keep me busy for some more time.

It makes me very happy to see that other people are using this fork as well and some even contribute by adding pull requests! But even a bug report or a feature request is a highly welcome contribution, I think.

My future plans are switching from the testing framework istanbul to jest and also transforming the project into a pure TypeScript code base.

So any input and discussion is highly welcome, but don't expect me to react quickly. It sometimes can take even more than 6 months until I show any sign of reaction, although I strive to caring more often in the future.

That's it for now. Cheers, Roman.
