Hi everyone, for transparency, we're currently applying a different scope of works/improvements for Dedot in Ink!ubator v2 Grant. While we're unsure if it's appropriate to keep 2 proposals for Dedot like this at the same time given the time-constraint in delivery. Out of respect for the committee’s time and the integrity of the grant process, we have decided to place this application on-hold while we're waiting for the outcome of Ink!ubator v2 proposal. Please let me know if you have any feedback or concerns regarding this, thank you! |

Project Abstract
Dedot is a next-generation JavaScript client for PolkadotSDK-based blockchains, designed to address the complexities developers face when building applications in the Polkadot ecosystem. With its lightweight architecture and developer-friendly approach, Dedot serves as a high-quality, go-to solution for JavaScript and TypeScript developers working with Substrate-based networks.
This proposal aims to build upon Dedot's solid foundation by implementing support for the latest protocol changes and adding new features, including Client API improvements, archive_* prefixed JSON-RPC integration, Metadata V16 support, new Transaction Format (v5) integration, and Pallet View Functions. These enhancements will keep Dedot at the forefront of JavaScript/TypeScript tooling for the Polkadot ecosystem, ensuring seamless adoption of evolving standards and providing developers with the tools they need to build sophisticated, performant, and user-friendly applications.
