Hi Plethora777,

I've recently started encountering an error with the logs showing hundreds of entries for "ERROR: (Safe) Did not find 'name' and/or 'val' tags in a chunk palette!"
log.txt

In the WebUI this then results in the world showing completely erroneous chunks and the same chunk for all heights leaving your fantastic tool useless.

It would appear that this started when my realm was updated from 1.12.1 to 1.13.0

Hopefully this is a simple fix!

Thanks,

Will

Appreciating that this is likely a pet project, Plethora777 was kind enough to address some issues in the last year, so hopefully they may have a chance to give some time to it once again, soon.

See #92 for a pull request that at least partially fixes this

Great! I'm not skilled in compiling, any chance that you can compile for us... less technical?
Thanks!

I assume you mean for Windows? I've only been able to compile it on Linux so far, but am working on getting it to compile on Windows, which would be a lot more convenient for me, too. I will post if I have any luck.

Sorry, Will! I tried searching the errors first and somehow missed this thread.

I've compiled a Windows build - look for the zip files in my fork https://github.com/marzipan42/mcpe_viz

I did what you said in the read-me but noting happens when I press 'go!' .

@PixelRave That's weird, I've never had that happen to me. Are you sure that mcpe_viz.exe is present in the same directory as mcpe_viz_helper.exe, and it hasn't gotten moved or deleted?
Can you post a screenshot of the mcpe_viz_helper window after you press Go?

Hey sorry about the confusion . The instructions threw me off. What I did to fix it, is copy and paste the contents of your patch into the old 64bit folder and it worked. It fixed a issue were the center of the map couldn't be seen.
