Summary

  • Raise agent-actions and skill-lifecycle consumer memory limits from 256M to 512M with 128M reservation
  • Raise intelligence-api memory limit from 256M to 768M with 128M reservation
  • Add compose invariant coverage for the three observed hot runtime services

Verification

  • uv run pytest tests/unit/infra/test_compose_invariants.py -q
  • uv run ruff check tests/unit/infra/test_compose_invariants.py
  • uv run ruff format tests/unit/infra/test_compose_invariants.py --check

Deploy gate / post-merge validation

  • No live deploy or restart performed in this PR.
  • After normal gated runtime deploy, verify: docker inspect --format '{{.HostConfig.Memory}}' omninode-agent-actions-consumer omninode-skill-lifecycle-consumer omnibase-intelligence-api
  • Then verify headroom with docker stats --no-stream and confirm the three services stay below 70% during normal load.

Evidence-Ticket: OMN-14028
Evidence-Source: OCC#3649

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Increased memory allocation for several backend services to improve reliability under higher load.
  • Tests

    • Added coverage to ensure key runtime services keep the updated memory limits and reservations.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Memory resource limits and reservations were increased for three services (agent-actions-consumer, skill-lifecycle-consumer, intelligence-api) in individual catalog service YAML files and mirrored in docker-compose.infra.yml. A new unit test validates these expanded memory limits and reservations in the compose file.

Changes

Service Memory Limit Increases

Layer / File(s) Summary
Catalog service resource updates
docker/catalog/services/agent-actions-consumer.yaml, docker/catalog/services/intelligence-api.yaml, docker/catalog/services/skill-lifecycle-consumer.yaml
Memory limits increased (256M→512M for two services, 256M→768M for intelligence-api) and memory reservations increased (64M→128M) across all three service catalog definitions; cpus_reservation unchanged.
Compose file resource updates and validation test
docker/docker-compose.infra.yml, tests/unit/infra/test_compose_invariants.py
The same memory limit and reservation increases are mirrored in docker-compose.infra.yml for all three services, and a new unit test asserts these expanded deploy.resources.limits.memory and reservations.memory values.

Poem:
A rabbit hopped through YAML fields so neat,
Bumping memory limits to give more room to eat.
Two-fifty-six grew plump to five-twelve and beyond,
While a tiny test now checks the numbers correspond.
Hop, hop, hooray — the services breathe easier now! 🐰
