Proposed changes

ReadEnumeratedArray(string) in the XML decoder implementations could fail to handle arrays with no decodable child elements correctly.

This PR hardens both implementations so they consistently throw a ServiceResultException (BadDecodingError) for empty/non-element enumerated arrays and adds regression coverage for the parser edge cases found in review.

• Decoder/parser behavior hardening

  • In Stack/Opc.Ua.Types/Encoders/XmlDecoder.cs, added a guard after:

    XmlQualifiedName xmlName = Peek(XmlNodeType.Element);

    and throw BadDecodingError when xmlName is null.
  • In Stack/Opc.Ua.Types/Encoders/XmlParser.cs, fixed the empty-field path so ReadEnumeratedArray(string) also throws BadDecodingError when the field exists but has no decodable child elements (including empty/text-only content), while preserving nil/missing-field behavior.

• Regression test coverage

  • Added ReadEnumeratedArrayThrowsWhenNoElementsPresent in:
    Tests/Opc.Ua.Types.Tests/Encoders/XmlDecoderTests.cs
  • Expanded XmlParser non-generic array coverage in:
    Tests/Opc.Ua.Types.Tests/Encoders/XmlParserTests.cs, including:
    • empty content (CDATA/no elements) throws BadDecodingError
    • empty element content throws BadDecodingError
    • text-only element content throws BadDecodingError
    • nil field returns default/null ArrayOf<EnumValue>
    • missing field returns default/null ArrayOf<EnumValue>
    • populated array path remains successful (count assertion)
    • error-message assertions for the empty-content error path

• Follow-up feedback fix

  • Fixed a test regression in ReadEnumeratedThrowsWhenInvalid (XmlParserTests) by removing an incorrect assertion that expected the empty-array error message for invalid enum parsing.
  • Verified no additional breakages with both targeted parser tests and full Opc.Ua.Types.Tests.

Scope remains intentionally narrow: runtime hardening in XmlDecoder/XmlParser plus focused regression tests for XmlParser non-generic enumerated array behavior and a follow-up correction to the invalid-enum test assertion. Existing successful array decoding and encoding-limit behavior are unchanged.

Checked XmlParser and it had the same Peek(XmlNodeType.Element) null path in ReadEnumeratedArray(string). I applied the same BadDecodingError guard and added a regression test in XmlParserTests; addressed in commit 371b573 (functional fix in d34b831).

Fixed in aa530c4. The parser now checks for an actual child element (MoveToElement(null)) before peeking the enum item type in ReadEnumeratedArray(string), so ReadEnumeratedArrayThrowsBadDecodingErrorWhenNoElementsPresent now passes consistently.

Fixed in 63d2b48 (core behavior fix is in c472268). XmlParser.ReadEnumeratedArray(string) now throws BadDecodingError when the field exists but has no decodable child elements, and I added/updated regression tests for empty content, empty element, and text-only content. Targeted XmlParserTests.ReadEnumeratedArray* tests pass locally.

Fixed in 9fe1661. I removed the incorrect empty-array message assertion from ReadEnumeratedThrowsWhenInvalid; it now correctly validates BadDecodingError for invalid enum input again. I also re-ran targeted XmlParser tests plus full Opc.Ua.Types.Tests (7485 tests) and they pass. Screenshot: N/A (no UI changes in this PR).
