This commit fixes a major issue that makes the program unusable for me. No release has been made since this fix.

Upgrading to an unstable version is fine, but if you only need a single commit (especially if it's a small change), you can also consider adding only that change as a patch on top of the stable 2.2.7 tag.

I did consider that, but are a few fixes merged since the last release, and it doesn't look likely that there will be a new release soon, so I think it makes more sense to use the newest rev until then.
