Motivation for this change

Since this involves quite an amount of related rebuilds, and I'm using the whole batch on my system, I thought about upstreaming these updates in a single PR, to contribute back to the community.

I am not sure, but I think part of this PR (kde-applications) has already been done in #133788, but we probably still need the plasma5 and the kde-frameworks upgrade, so thanks for your contribution!

Could you drop the kde-applications upgrade from your PR (maybe also target this PR to staging if this is a mass rebuild)?

Oh, right! I did look for PRs targeting those packages, but couldn't find the KDE Gear one.. Thanks for the headsup. I'll rebase on top of staging, and drop the applications commits. Thanks
