Evidence: On June 5, 2026, PR #4172 moves 3rdparty/Megatron-LM from 64c3fb86ca2b1b875c0206500195b4de2977592a to cefc2520158c7ceba3f9adbe4b547a6f7a118da1. The failing UV - Python3.12 - AMD64/Linux - NGC PyTorch, release / build-test-publish-wheel / build-wheel, Launch_Unit_Tests_Core, and Launch_Unit_Tests_Diffusion jobs all stop during Bridge import/collection with ImportError: cannot import name 'safe_get_world_size' from 'megatron.core._rank_utils', reached from src/megatron/bridge/utils/common_utils.py. The old submodule commit exports that helper; the new MCore dev commit does not.
Fix PR: #4094
Guards: none added by this worker. Existing PR #4094 moves Bridge off the removed MCore helper surfaces rather than adding a new compatibility guard.
Validation: No new validation command was run in this worker because an existing open fix PR already covers the failure. Existing PR #4094 has passing UV - Python3.12 - AMD64/Linux - NGC PyTorch, release / build-test-publish-wheel / build-wheel, Launch_Unit_Tests_Core, Launch_Unit_Tests_Diffusion, and Nemo_CICD_Test checks from May 31-June 1, 2026; its remaining open check is codecov/patch.
