Evidence: #4152 is the current main / mcore-dev automated bump from the 2026-06-04 Daily MCore Bump Journal. It updates .dev.commit cf081d5df0b34b665d214ff936f27489d7396876 -> d23ca853fe57d1a3b70c20736e49839bdfa929ca and 3rdparty/Megatron-LM 64c3fb86ca2b1b875c0206500195b4de2977592a -> d23ca853fe57d1a3b70c20736e49839bdfa929ca. The MCore compare is diverged, ahead_by=480, behind_by=179, merge base 7106fe9e1817886cef6af55630d3cc84be4cab7c, final commit d23ca853fe57d1a3b70c20736e49839bdfa929ca ([Dev] Support isolated MTP loss (#5080), 2026-06-04). Representative failed job logs show src/megatron/bridge/utils/common_utils.py:25 importing safe_get_world_size, followed by ImportError: cannot import name 'safe_get_world_size' from 'megatron.core._rank_utils' in Installation job 79501147545, release build job 79501220640, and unit jobs 79511951262 / 79511951283. Inspecting MCore dev _rank_utils.py at d23ca853fe57d1a3b70c20736e49839bdfa929ca shows safe_get_rank but no safe_get_world_size.
Fix PR: #4094 already covers this target failure. It removes the direct MCore safe_get_world_size import and owns Bridge-local rank/world-size helpers in src/megatron/bridge/utils/common_utils.py. I did not open a duplicate fix branch or PR.
Guards: none added or removed in this worker; #4094 is an import-surface ownership fix rather than a conditional compatibility guard.
Validation: No new local or CW interactive validation was run in this worker because an existing open fix PR already covers the same target failure. Existing #4094 validation/CI shows Installation Test, release build/validate/publish, Launch_Unit_Tests_Core, Launch_Unit_Tests_Diffusion, and broad CICD NeMo passing on 2026-05-31 / 2026-06-01; codecov/patch is the remaining failing check and the PR is still review-required as of 2026-06-04 07:08 PDT.
Next action: review and merge #4094, then rerun or wait for the next main / mcore-dev automated bump to confirm #4152's failure is resolved.
