Compact dot reporter for TAP output. Supports skip and todo, reports errors and final stats.
npm install tap-spot --save-dev
const spot = require('tap-spot');
const tape = require('tape'); // Or another TAP reporter
tape.createStream()
.pipe(spot())
.pipe(process.stdout);
package.json
{
"name": "module-name",
"scripts": {
"test": "node ./test/tap-test.js | tap-spot"
}
}
Then run with npm test
Terminal
tape test/index.js | node_modules/.bin/tap-spot
Testling
npm install testling -g
testling test/index.js | node_modules/.bin/tap-spot
NOTE
Originaly forked by Toke Voltelen from the excellent tap-dot by scottcorgan, because the tap-out parser doesn't work properly with in-script streams. Toke Voltelen switched the TAP parser to tap-parser and released tap-reporter-dot.
Since forked by Peter Müller and released as tap-spot in order to gain support for TAP skip and todo directives as well as less duplication in error output.
