Rust Hex Dump. Trying to outperform xxd.

Disclaimer: This is not a complete reimplementation, but a naive test project meant to learn the language.

Instalation

$ git clone https://github.com/MarkelCA/rhd.git
$ cd rhd
$ cargo install --path .

Usage

$ rhd --help
Rust Hex Dump. A simple hex dump utility written in Rust.

Usage: rhd [OPTIONS] [FILE_PATH]

Arguments:
  [FILE_PATH]
          Input file to read from. If not provided reads from stdin

Options:
  -f, --format <FORMAT>
          The format for the line numbers. Default is hexadecimal

          [default: hex]

          Possible values:
          - hex: Hexadecimal format
          - dec: Decimal format

  -h, --help
          Print help (see a summary with '-h')

  -V, --version
          Print version
