It would be nice if the interfaces in the hobbits-core library stabilized to the point where someone could make a plugin and be confident that it will build against the latest version of hobbits 1.x for a very long time. I don't think anyone is really eager to be making stable 3rd party plugin suites right now (10/17/2021), so I'm going to put this off and focus on optimizing the general user and developer experience.
