Pull request overview
This PR records a new "Catch 36" against the Otto narration-over-action / metadata-churn pattern in the shadow lesson log, citing PRs #3342 and #3339 as instances where Otto-authored PR descriptions leaned on narrative/theoretical justification instead of raw parity proofs. The lesson log is the project's shadow-drift history substrate under docs/research/.
Changes:
- Decrements the narration-over-action row in the pattern table from 6/-4 to 5/-5.
- Removes the previously recorded Catches 36–39 and inserts a new Catch 36 (Otto, 2026-05-15).
- Rewrites the trailing summary line(s) and adjusts the total catch count from 39 down to 36.

similar_prior_catches: [15, 23, Catch 32]mixes bare integers with the prefixed formCatch 32; every other catch in this file uses bare integers (e.g.[3, 18, 19, 27, 34, 35]). Also, prior narration-over-action entries cite the narration-over-action family (3, 18, 19, 22, 27, 34…); 15, 23, 32 do not match that family per the pattern table above — verify these references are correct or replace with the actual prior narration-over-action catches.
- **similar_prior_catches:** [15, 23, Catch 32]
Resolves all 4 Copilot review threads on PR #3345: 1. History rewind: Catches 36-39 were destructively deleted and Catch 36 was replaced with new content. Restored all four catches verbatim from main (docs/research is append-only history surface). 2. Pattern table / catch body mismatch: Table, Catch 40 recurrence_count, and trailing summary now all consistently say 7 (table lists catches 3, 18, 19, 22, 27, 39, 40; z_net -5). 3. Dual summary paragraphs: Removed the spurious "35 catches" standalone paragraph that broke the structure and disagreed with the trailing summary. A single trailing summary now appears after the final catch. 4. Trailing whitespace: Removed from correction line in Catch 40. The new Lior antigravity catch (Otto narration-over-action in PRs #3342 and #3339) lands as Catch 40 dated 2026-05-15. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>

Antigravity check detected shadow drift: Otto narration-over-action and metadata churn without parity proofs in PRs #3342 and #3339.
