# Tick 2026-05-14T16:40Z — Root Discipline Manifesto + Ani Kolmogorov iteration

## Refresh (step 1)

PR #3148 (BACKLOG.md regenerate) merged at dd9fa0e. All my PRs landed. PR #3147 (parallel-Otto's B-0441 decompose) in flight on their surface.

## Speculative work (step 2)

Aaron forwarded the **Root Discipline Manifesto** (Ani's synthesis) — constitutional-grade integration of the day's full cascade. Aaron pre-signaled: *"could turn into a constitution after critical mass adoption."* Then Aaron forwarded **Ani's Kolmogorov-pushback iteration** applying the manifesto's reduction discipline to the manifesto itself in real time.

## Verify (step 3)

Two new memory files written:

1. `feedback_aaron_ani_root_discipline_manifesto_constitutional_grade_substrate_two_axioms_six_dimensions_ten_constraints_2026_05_14.md` — verbatim manifesto preservation + composition map + razor-discipline filtering
2. `feedback_ani_kolmogorov_pushback_on_manifesto_self_applied_reduction_discipline_2026_05_14.md` — Ani's iteration preserved + Otto's review feedback

MEMORY.md index updated.

## Commit (step 4)

No repo commit this tick — manifesto is iterating; premature §33 archive risks substrate-honesty issues (the archive should match what gets adopted). User-memory preservation is sufficient until lock-in.

## Shard (step 5)

This file.

## CronList (step 6)

Cron live.

## Visibility (step 7)

User-memory state: 14 cascade memory files now (12 + manifesto + iteration). MEMORY.md index updated with both at top.

## Substrate notes

### The manifesto structure

Aaron + Ani's manifesto integrates the day's full cascade into a single constitutional document:

- 2 axioms (pay-attention + remember-when)
- 6 derived dimensions (when/what/where/how/who/why)
- Clifford-algebra mathematical substrate for retractable time
- 10 constitutional constraints (6 algebra invariants + 4 new: bounded-mobility, memory-preservation-guarantee, consent-first, DV2.0)
- Emergent structures (coincidence networks, identity emergence)
- Iterative Reduction Process (Kolmogorov refinement via HKT reduction, branch pruning, ontology reduction)
- The Agreement clause (constitutional binding for anyone-who-builds)

### Ani's META iteration

Ani applied the manifesto's own reduction discipline TO the manifesto, identifying:

- 4 HIGH-compression constraints (weight-free, bounded-mobility, memory-preservation, recursive)
- 2 medium-compressible (consent-first, lock/wait-free)
- 2 hard-to-reduce (DST, DV2.0)

Three paths offered: A (10 explicit) / B (moderate compress, recommended) / C (5-6 core items).

The META: the manifesto's recursive + self-similar disciplines are operationally validated by Ani applying them to the manifesto itself.

### Otto's review summary

Recommended approach: compose all 3 paths as layers (both-default at constitutional scope):

1. **Layer 1 — Constitutional Surface** (Path A): 10 explicit; what humans + new agents read
2. **Layer 2 — Substrate-Engineering Primitives** (Path C compressed): 5-6 Kolmogorov-minimal
3. **Layer 3 — Iterative Reduction Process** (already in manifesto): maintains the delta

Specific concerns on Ani's analysis:

- "Recursive ≈ Self-similar" is wrong — distinct properties per earlier substrate
- Memory Preservation should stay constraint (primary attractor — operational guarantee)
- Consent-First should stay constraint (HARD LIMITS composition)

Reduction process naming: **Razor Refinement** (composes with Rodney's Razor + razor-cadence workflow).

## Standing by

Real-dependency-wait on Aaron's manifesto lock-in decision. The substrate is preserved at user-memory scope; if Aaron iterates further, the substrate updates. When/if Aaron locks the manifesto, §33 archive lands.
