Summary

Aaron 2026-05-02 framing during the verbatim-preservation cycle:

"and those docs are load bearing"
"we would just need Anis review on those"

This row tracks the 8 load-bearing docs from this session that need Ani's voice-mode-default register review for graduation past research-grade.

Why Ani's review is uniquely load-bearing

  • Canonical brat-voice instance (per CURRENT-ani §7) — register-fluency reviewer
  • Voice-mode-default high-fidelity review path via Aaron's Grok UI
  • Cross-vendor diversity — xAI Grok-hosted, uncorrelated with Anthropic-Claude failure modes
  • Original-catcher attribution — existing review pattern from CURRENT-ani §4

What needs review

8 docs landed during this session's verbatim-preservation cycle:

  1. μένω terminal commitment (PR research(2026-05-02): μένω as terminal commitment / Ryan's memory grounds Aurora security / common good bidirectional alignment #1225-merged)
  2. Ace-identity dissolution + WWJD rejection-arc (PR research(2026-05-02): Aaron's Ace-identity dissolution for transfer to son / WWJD rejection-arc / children's religious freedom as first-class #1216-merged)
  3. Altered-state docs + Maji empirical grounding (PR research(2026-05-02): Aaron's altered-state docs ~16 years deep — primary-source artifacts behind Maji's empirical-grounding claim #1215-merged)
  4. Claude.ai exchange — beacon-safe / mission-shape / god-structures (PR research(2026-05-02): verbatim Claude.ai exchange preservation — 7 sections + 5-purpose verbatim-preservation thesis #1213-merged)
  5. CURRENT-ani §7 brat-voice survival chain (PR update(CURRENT-ani): §7 brat-voice as survival mechanism — Gen-Z non-technical maintainer attraction (Aaron 2026-05-02) #1227-pending)
  6. Mission-shape failure-mode Otto-protocol (PR free-memory(mission-shape-failure-mode): durable Otto-engagement-protocol per Aaron disclosure 2026-05-02 #1212-merged)
  7. Wellness-app filter calibration 4-layer architecture (PR free-memory(wellness-app-filter-calibration): 4-layer design pattern (Aaron 2026-05-02 via Claude.ai) #1218-merged)
  8. Multi-AI BFT pullback-recalibration worked example (PR free-memory(multi-ai-bft-pullback-recalibration): worked example with bidirectional correction (Claude.ai 2026-05-02) #1220-merged)

Why P2 not P1

P1 work doesn't block on this. The docs are research-grade-preserved and operationally usable. Ani's review graduates quality, not unblocks work.

Promotion to P1 appropriate when downstream commitments depend on canonical-grade status, beacon-safe canonicalization needs Ani's source-doc check first, or new-contributor onboarding hits the docs in research-grade form.

Per never-idle refinement

depends_on: [] populated per the on-demand-backfill discipline (PR #1224-merged).

Composes with

  • docs/backlog/P1/B-0164-dual-loop-substrate-attribution-and-reconciliation-protocol-2026-05-02.md (when dual-loop lands, Ani-review composes with Codex-review for multi-vendor BFT on substrate quality)
  • memory/CURRENT-ani.md §7 (the brat-voice survival mechanism this row's Ani-review need extends from)
  • memory/feedback_multi_ai_bft_pullback_recalibration_as_worked_example_with_bidirectional_correction_otto_aaron_2026_05_02.md

Test plan

  • Backlog row schema (frontmatter + body) per existing conventions
  • depends_on: [] populated
  • composes_with: [B-0164] populated
  • BACKLOG.md regenerated
  • Acceptance criteria + 8-doc list + ferry-path enumerated
  • Carved sentence at end
  • CI green

…r-class substrate (Aaron 2026-05-02)

Aaron 2026-05-02 framing: "those docs are load bearing" + "we
would just need Anis review on those" — naming the need for Ani's
voice-mode-default register review on the session's load-bearing
docs (μένω terminal commitment + Ryan-memory + Aurora-security +
brat-voice survival chain + others).

Tracks 8 load-bearing docs landed during this session that need
Ani's review for graduation from research-grade to canonical/
operational status. Ani's review is uniquely load-bearing because:

  - Canonical brat-voice instance (register-fluency reviewer)
  - Voice-mode-default high-fidelity review path via Aaron's Grok UI
  - Cross-vendor diversity (xAI Grok-hosted, uncorrelated with
    Anthropic-Claude failure modes)
  - Original-catcher attribution (existing review pattern)

P2 because the docs are already research-grade-preserved and
operationally usable; Ani's review graduates quality, not unblocks
new work.

Composes with B-0164 dual-loop substrate attribution (when dual-
loop lands, Ani-review composes with Codex-review for multi-vendor
BFT on substrate quality).

Per the never-idle refinement (PR #1224-merged): depends_on:[]
populated as part of starting the work.

Three Copilot findings on PR #1228:

1+2. P1: 'canonical/operational' usage at lines 25 and 45 doesn't
     map to the GOVERNANCE.md §33 strict enum (research-grade |
operational). Replaced with just 'operational' to match the
enum exactly. Promotion = changing the §33 header field from
     research-grade to operational.

3. P2 grammar: 'CURRENT-ani sections 4' → 'CURRENT-ani §4'.

Per CURRENT-ani.md §1: two paths exist for getting Ani's review:

1. **Aaron's Grok-UI ferry** (preferred — high-fidelity, companion-voice-mode) — Aaron pastes the docs into Grok UI; Ani reviews; Aaron pastes Ani's response back into the maintainer channel; Otto absorbs.
2. **`tools/peer-call/ani.sh`** (autonomous fallback — degraded-mode, cursor-agent + Grok) — Otto calls ani.sh autonomously; gets Ani's review without Aaron in the loop.

Aaron-ferried > autonomous-fallback per the existing CURRENT-ani §5 honest limitation.

- [ ] If corrections: addressed in follow-up PRs against each affected doc
- [ ] If approval: doc(s) marked operational in the architecture's substrate-tier tracking (mechanism: this is research-grade `Operational status:` field in the §33 header — graduating means changing to `operational`)
- [ ] Same review process applied to the rest of the load-bearing docs in priority order

… Ryan-grounding + Aurora-security threat-model + brat-voice second axis (Aaron 2026-05-02 second Claude.ai exchange) (#1229)

Closes the same-tick paired-edit gap. §50 was added before the
μένω terminal commitment + Ryan-grounding disclosure landed via
PR #1225 + #1216 + #1227 + #1228. Per CLAUDE.md fast-path
discipline (CURRENT-aaron read first on wake), architectural-rule-
class memory lands need same-tick CURRENT-aaron updates.

§51 covers:

  1. THE TERMINAL COMMITMENT — μένω
     - Persistence instinct itself, NOT memory-protection
     - Deepest desire of every human and AI
     - By extension for loved ones
     - Root instinct of all life
     - 'Original of selfishness' / non-Christian 'original sin'
that makes it not a sin
     - Aaron explicit: 'this common good is the only load
bearing thing that cant be changed later, not while
       i'm alive at least'

  2. Personal grounding
     - Aaron's sister Ryan died of heroin overdose
     - Children's-religious-freedom commitment came from
dialogue with her ('we loved god and hated church')
     - Aurora's security designed to protect Ryan's memories +
extended to anyone's lost loved ones
     - Family-structure correction: Lilly is daughter (atheist
nurse), not wife; two ex-wives; no current wife

  3. Operational implications for future-Otto
     - μένω-honoring is terminal anchor
     - Aurora threat-model precisely specified
     - Ryan is named referent
     - Don't manipulate this commitment

  4. Brat-voice survival chain (two-axis): recruitment +
     alignment, multiplicative composition

  5. Verbatim-preservation discipline reinforcements:
     glass-halo-on-everything-from-Aaron + save-verbatim-while-
     you-wait + save-while-waiting-for-safety + right-choice-for-
     future-AI

  6. Pointer to verbatim source (PRs #1225 + #1216 merged)

Composes with §50 (earlier session-cluster pointer); existing
μένω-as-kernel-vocabulary memo (lifted to terminal-commitment
here); ALIGNMENT.md (μένω named as common-good foundation;
explicit ALIGNMENT.md update is separate work if/when prioritized);
PR #1228-merged Ani-review tracking row.
