Output unchanged (no CI behaviour regression); operators / CI can grep stderr to surface the cause early — ideally before the row even merges. Verified locally: warning fires for the three pre-existing leaky-format rows on main; goes silent once #1016's frontmatter backfill merges. Layer 3 of the 4-layer pattern: encode the class (silent empty-render is the bug; warning is the catch), not just the instance (the three rows that triggered this).
