fix(bot): strip Forge-Space references — org wound down - #759
Conversation
Losslessly shrink every raster and vector asset (oxipng --strip safe, svgo --multipass, magick -quality 85) and emit a .webp alternate for each PNG/JPG so `<picture>` tags can serve them to modern browsers. Savings: PNG −4.45 MB (−32%), JPG −56 KB (−30%), SVG −2 KB (−9%); 27 MB assets tree → 25 MB with all originals intact. - scripts/compress-assets.sh: deterministic pipeline (skips .webp/.gif/.pbm) - README.md: `<picture>` fallback for social preview - compress-assets skill documented under ~/.claude/skills/ Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Drop `oxipng --alpha` (non-idempotent on some inputs) in favor of `--strip safe`, plus a backup/revert guard so oxipng output that is larger than the source is rolled back. - Stop silently swallowing oxipng / cwebp failures with `|| true`; now surface a warning and leave the original intact. - Extract `emit_webp`: only keep the .webp sibling when it's actually smaller than the (post-optimization) source, matching the JPG guard. - Correct header comments — no mozjpeg/jpegoptim fallback, webp kept only when smaller. Re-run is idempotent: PNG -0, SVG -0, JPG -0. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Applies the same lossless pipeline to packages/frontend/public/: - favicon.png 77 575 → 59 503 B (−23 %) - lucky-logo.png 77 575 → 59 503 B (−23 %) - favicon.svg 1 978 → 1 200 B (−39 %) - 2 new .webp siblings (12.3 KB total) served by any <picture> consumers Served at runtime by the React dashboard (Landing, Login) and shipped to browsers on every session start, so this saves bytes on the critical path. React components still reference the .png paths directly; the .webp siblings are opt-in via <picture> and can be wired up later. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
